WordPress, we are coming!
Never say never!
It’ been a while since we posted something here. Well, we’d been super busy soon after this site is launched. Apart from selling a few themes, we have had a number of enquiries for custom works and have landed two thus far. Customers and clients are demanding, sure they are and this makes us busy and happy, because of their requirements and demands (sometimes a bit too much :) ) we continued learning and stay one step ahead.
Our customers and clients want WordPress blog for their stores. We learned WordPress before, twice actually, didn’t like it as we are died hard fan for Modx and Textpattern, which the former is powerful for CMS site but don’t have the whistler and bells for a blogging site and the latter is flexible for a blog site yet the development is depressingly in limbo. Our clients don’t like our suggestion on the two CMS.
So we are forced to learn WordPress the third time, and this time luck is on our side as the saying goes: “The third time is a charm.” Indeed it is! We are pretty impressed by the WordPress version 2.7. Well, truth be told, we still wouldn’t use it for a CMS site because really, Modx is a far superior application, but we soonly recognized that WordPress can be a happy marrige with Magento store, so off we go, join the grand march of WordPress Mania. p>
Since it’s a marriage we are after, we are really looking for an integration between Magento and WordPress. Thanks to this article we are able to get the idea rolling. The test we did thus far on the local server is pretty promising and we will use one of the client’s project as a geniue pig (with her permission of course), or maybe we will also use our site for another geniue pig just to be on the safe side.
We shall have something to show by the end of February. Stay tuned…
